In total, 114 sheep were stolen in the theft, including 41 Beltex ewes, 71 Beltex lambs and two tups.

The incident took place on a farm on the outskirts of the town of Kendal, located near the Lake District, in the north of England.

The farmer of the stolen sheep, Rachel Batty, is urging anyone with information to come forward to Cumbrian Police or to help in any way they can. She says, in total, more than half of her flock were stolen and will now suffer a severe financial loss.

All of the sheep stolen wore ear tags with their flock number, 103573, and were marked with a red dot.
