Portauns Pedigree Livestock will hold their third biannual production sale in conjunction with the Munster Irish Angus branch autumn premier sale. The sale, which takes place in Kilmallock on Friday 8 November, will have a catalogue of 30 pre-inspected heifers for sale, 11 of which are the pick of the Portauns’ in-calf and maiden crops.

Seven of these top class heifers are two years old and in-calf to AI bull Liss Brendan, while the other four are being sold free of the bull. The majority of these are sired by the herd’s stock bulls, namely Lisduff Dinky and Ballykeevican Kaptain.

These bulls have sired a number of high prices for the herd in recent years. A select few are also sired by AI bulls such as the homebred Portauns Vocano and Blackhaugh Time. All heifers forward from the herd are genotyped and tested free of myostatin.

Deliveries will be arranged and further information can be got from John on 087-660 5506.
