Pöttinger to offer Cross Flow auger on 3m mounted non-conditioner mower.

Pöttinger is introducing the Cross Flow conveyor auger on its non-conditioner Novacat 302 3m mounted mower. The auger was previously only available on the Novacat A10 combination mowers and the Novacat 352 (3.5m) rear mounted mower.
From now on, all Cross Flow models will come with a hydraulic rear flap opening. It can be opened from a small control terminal in the cab. When the auger is lowered, it allows a fully closed design.
Pöttinger has said that the Cross Flow auger turns the crop as it flows through the mower, helping to accelerate the drying process without using a conditioner.

When the rear flap is closed, the auger can swath the back ledge on the headland to the inside row. This helps to keep the crop in the field boundary when tedding.
The company claims that tractors with as low as 100hp can drive the mower and auger.
