Low pressure will continue to affect weather, with showers in coastal areas becoming more widespread throughout the day. Rain will be heavy and thundery in places, particularly in the west and south of the country where localised flooding is possible.

Heavy thundery showers will continue into Saturday and will tend to be more widespread with localised spot-flooding.

Showers will be more isolated on Sunday and sunshine can be expected, however fog may persist until early afternoon, with temperatures reaching 12-13 degrees.

Outlook

The outlook for early next week indicate that showers will ease on Monday and for most of Tuesday, with temperatures remaining relatively unchanged. Between 5-12mm of rain is expected to fall on Wednesday as the wet weather returns.
