Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rainfall warning across all 26 counties in the Republic, coming into effect from 9am on Wednesday 8 September and lasting until 12pm Thursday 9 September.
The warning will see some heavy downpours and thunderstorms experienced across areas of the country, with the heavy rain extending into Thursday. There is a risk of localised flooding where rainfall is heaviest.
