Takeuchi is hoping to replicate the success of its old seven tonne TB175. Weighing in at 7,042kg, the company's new TB370 has 42.4kW of power output and 48.4kN of digging force.

The Japanese firm is hoping to replicate the success of its old seven tonne TB175.

Imported and distributed by Breen Farm Machinery, the TB370 meets the latest low-emissions standards with a four-cylinder Kubota Stage V-compliant engine. This turbo-charged engine is married to a Kawasaki hydraulic pump.

The new stylish cab features jog-dial controls and a colour touchscreen. It comes complete with all-round LED lighting, floating dozer blade, colour VDU, auto fuel pump, lifting check valves, hydraulic hitch pipework and adjustable auxiliary flows as standard.

The TB370 will see the return of the Takeuchi tilt-up cab - designed to provide maximum service access. The new excavator offers a dig depth of 4,085mm, dump height of 4,545mm and ground reach of up to 6,565mm. It’s also available with a two-piece boom to suit all applications.

Reduced tail swing

Takeuchi claims that the compact TB370 features a shorter than average tail swing compared to conventional 7t excavators, with an overhang of 455mm at 90° to track. The firm has rounded the corners to help minimise potential machine damage in restricted areas.
