Access to labour, EU trade and protection of rural businesses from volatile prices, were key recommendations in the interim report published by the National Council of Rural Advisors this week.
The 12-page report maps out the changes needed post-Brexit to create a healthy and vibrant rural economy, with the full report due next spring.
NFU Scotland president Andrew McCornick said: “NFU Scotland’s Brexit ‘CHANGE’ documents; the recent report from Scotland’s Agri-Champions and the National Council of Rural Advisors report show a clear consensus emerging on rural Scotland’s post-Brexit needs.”
