Strathroy Dairy is making a major investment, with the installation of new drying facilities at its processing site based in Omagh, Co Tyrone.
Construction has just started with a projected timeframe to have all works completed by the end of the current year.
Once testing is complete, the company aims to have the new facility operational in time for the flush of milk next spring.

Owned by the Cunningham family, Strathroy initially held off on the investment until there was greater clarity on post-Brexit trading arrangements.
As a predominantly liquid milk business supplying retail and food service, Strathroy requires a flat supply of milk, so at times of surplus is forced to sell on its excess to other processors.
The new dryer creates options for Strathroy to add value to its entire milk pool, which is just over 100m litres in NI and close on 110m in the Republic of Ireland.
