Introduced at the Agritechnica show in Germany last year, the Strautmann Verti-Mix 70 diet feeder is now available in Ireland. The Verti-Mix 70 joins the existing Verti-Mix 400 (4m3) and 500(5m3) models in the range.

Offering a standard capacity of 6m3, the Verti-Mix 70 can be fitted with optional 250mm extensions, increasing its maximum capacity to 7m3. Like its two smaller siblings, it has a low profile due to its trailing axle. This 2.12m standard height (3.37m with extension) makes for easy operation in low sheds. The tub maintains a slim design with an overall machine width of 2.16m when fitted with two side discharge doors.

Customers can opt for one of three control options

The tub itself is constructed from S355 high-grade rolled steel. Inside is Strautmann’s 15mm thick stepped Vario2 vertical mixing auger.

Discharge doors are available in right-hand front and left-hand rear configurations or both, with the possibility of fitting a weighing system.

Customers can opt for one of three control options – the standard direct tractor connection requiring a double-acting spool for each function, a Boden cable-operated valve chest or an electric control box. An auger-mounted magnetic system is optionally available for the detection of metal in the feed.

The Verti-Mix 70 complete with side extensions is priced at €22,250 plus VAT.
