The majority of short-keep and slaughter-fit continental cows are selling mainly from €1.85/kg to €1.95/kg, with U grades and young heavy types making over €2.00/kg in some cases.
Feeding continental cows are selling mainly from €1.65/kg to €1.75/kg.
Fleshed Friesian cows are selling from €1.60/kg to €1.70/kg, while feeding cows are making anywhere from €1.00/kg for thin types to €1.40/kg for good-quality square Friesians.
Where old poor-quality Friesian cows and Jersey-cross cows are on offer, prices range mainly from €0.80/kg to €1.00/kg.
