SuperValu’s Irish spring lamb is 100% Irish born and bred, reared by Bord Bia quality assured farmers such as Roscommon-based Anthony Moran. A long-standing supplier of SuperValu lamb for the last 20 years, Anthony Moran keeps 200 ewes.

Roscommon-based SuperValu lamb producer Anthony Moran said he is proud to be supplying SuperValu: “I am proud to once again supply SuperValu with the highest quality new-season Irish spring lamb. Moran starts lambing at the end of December and keeps going through to February. He keeps around 200 Texel-cross ewes and he uses rams that are a mix of Texel, Beltex and Suffolk.

SuperValu sources from over 2,200 Irish suppliers – more than any other grocery retailer in the Irish market – equating to an annual economic contribution of €2.19bn.
