The 2022 Ploughing will be the first opportunity that Tanco has had to exhibit its Autocut mowers at a Ploughing since its launch in 2020. The Autocut mower range is unique as the rear mowers are trailed, with the rear wheels steered via a mechanical linkage from the headstock with a hydraulic oversteer system incorporated into the design.

The M3 front mower and an M9 rear mower will be on the stand and the range also includes an M10 rear mower. The M3 front mower and M9 rear mower have an overall cutting width of 8.9m (30ft), while the M3 and M10 overall cutting width is 9.8m (33ft).

Tanco is using cutter bars, gearboxes and drive shafts supplied by Comer industries on the Autocut range. All Autocut mowers are fitted with a full-width conditioner which has semi-swing steel crooked tines.

Tanco’s successful Bale Shear will also be exhibited on the stand. Launched at the 2009 Ploughing, the Bale Shear was the first machine for sale fitted with a mechanism designed to hold the bale plastic and net while splitting and feeding bales with a loader, according to Tanco.

This patented clamping mechanism holds the bale plastic and net, allowing the loader operator to feed bales without having to get out of the loader.

The Tanco Bale Shear also works successfully with the Net Replacement Film (NRF) which has been used on silage bales since it was introduced a couple of seasons ago, due to the gripping mechanism clamping the plastic between its jaws. This has been a game changer for farmers feeding bale silage.

The I-60 beet chopper/feeder has been manufactured by Tanco for over 25 years and has had few design changes over the years, as it has proven to be so reliable and popular with users for washing and chopping root crops. It is available in three-point linkage and loader versions.

Wrappers

Tanco’s range of bale wrappers, the 1400-V, S-Series and A-Series machines, will also feature on the stand. The 1400-V is a twin plastic dispenser satellite trailed wrapper and has proven to be a successful machine for Tanco.

The S-Series wrapper range is also a satellite machine, available in single, twin and triple plastic dispenser versions and can be operated on either a loader or three-point linkage.

The A-Series wrappers are turntable single plastic dispenser machines, available in either joystick or fully automatic trailed versions and fully automatic remote controlled static version.
