2019 telehandler sales are up 41% for the first six months.

For the first six months of 2019 there have been a total of 319 new telehandlers registered in Ireland in comparison to the 303 units registered in the full year of 2017. This figure represents a 41% increase on the same period in 2018.
Figures from the FTMTA have shown that there were 34 new telehandlers registered in June, up from the 23 that were registered in June 2018.
FTMTA chief executive Gary Ryan said: “Practically 50% of the total registrations thus far continue to be seen in three counties, with Meath, Cork and Wexford accounting for 68, 51 and 40 units respectively”.

Loading shovels
Meanwhile, registrations of new loading shovels are back somewhat on 2018, with a total of 72 new units registered at the end of June, down six units year on year. Three machines were registered during June 2019, in comparison to four in June 2018.
On the backhoe loader side of things, registrations were up ever so slightly during the first half of the year at 41 units, a modest rise of one unit on 2018. Two machines were registered during June which is the same as last year.
