Diesel prices continue to slowly fall. They are some 3c/l to 4c/l lower than the recent peak in late May.

Green diesel prices then reached 77c/l including 13.5% VAT. This week, they are in the range of 73c to 74c, depending on location.

Prices here are following international trends. Benchmark oil prices, such as Brent, have eased in the past fortnight. One of the reasons behind this weakening of prices is an expectation that Saudi Arabia and Russia, both significant exporters, will increase production over the next 12 months.

Despite the fall over recent weeks, oil prices are still about 60% higher than 12 months ago.
