Up to 35mm of rain is forecast in parts of the country on Monday, with Met Éireann issuing two separate weather warnings.

A status yellow rainfall warning has been issued for Cork and Kerry, with between 25mm and 35mm of rain forecast between 3.00am and 4.00pm on Monday.

Met Éireann has warned that there is a risk of spot flooding as a result.

A second warning is in place for counties Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Tipperary and Waterford.

Between 25mm and 35mm of rain is expected on Monday in these counties and this warning is valid from 9.00am until 8.00pm.
