Valeo Foods, the company behind brands like Odlums, Jacob’s and Batchelors, has acquired Robert Roberts and Kelkin for €60m from DCC, a company with operations in energy, healthcare and food.
Robert Roberts produces own-brand coffee and has a wine distribution service called Findlater Wine and Spirits.
Both companies principally operate in the Irish market and generated combined operating profits of €7.3m last year.

In April, Valeo acquired Rowse Honey, a UK-based honey manufacturer with revenues close to €115m from Lydian Capital. Lydian is an investment firm founded by former Kerry Group chief executive Denis Brosnan and backed by JP McManus and John Magnier.
