Met Éireann has issued a status yellow snow and ice alert for Donegal. The warning will come into effect from midnight on Wednesday.
Heavy wintry showers of hail, sleet and snow expected on Wednesday night and Thursday with reduced visibility and accumulations likely in places.
The warning is valid until midnight on Thursday.
