Met Éireann has forecast a day of sunny spells and scattered showers, mainly in the northwest.

Temperatures will reach highs of between 15°C and 20°C.

The night will remain humid, with temperatures staying between 11°C and 15°C.

Saturday

Rain will push across the country southeastwards over Saturday morning.

Temperatures of up to 16°C will be felt in the northwest, rising possibly to 22°C in the southeast.

Saturday night will again remain mild and humid.

Sunday

The day will begin cloudy, with cloud giving way to outbreaks of rain extending across much of the country. Some heavy spells are possible.

Highest temperatures of 17°C to 21°C will be coolest over Ulster.
