August milk supply is likely to be above last year’s supply for the same month despite the rain and storms over the last two weeks.

Kerry milk supplies are up 1.8% for the month of August compared to the same period last year, but milk supplies have flatlined for the last two weeks due to the heavy rain.

Further up the country, Lakeland is forging ahead – up 6% for the month.

In the west, Aurivo reports August milk up 5% as some parts of the west have not had the levels of rain that other parts of country have had.
