The Irish Farmers Journal understands that results of the latest SMP sale, to be published by the European Commission on Friday, show that 31,493 tonnes of skimmed milk powder were sold.
The minimum price was €1,230/t. This is an improvement on the 2,408 tonnes that were sold for a minimum of €1,230/t at the last sale in July.
For the sixth individual invitation to tender for the buying-in of SMP, no maximum buying-in price was fixed and no stock was bought in.
