Glanbia Cheese and Aurivo have followed the lead of other milk processors in NI with an increase to base price for March.
Both processors have added 0.75p/l, matching the increases by Lakeland Dairies and Glanbia Ireland. Dale Farm applied the largest price rise of 1p/l.
In the case of Glanbia Cheese, this puts its suppliers on a base of 28.75p/l for March supplies, and is the highest monthly base price paid by the Magheralin processor, excluding winter bonus payments, since November 2017.

Aurivo are also on a base price of 28.75p/l, which is the highest base price paid by the co-op since late 2017.

DAERA statistics
Meanwhile, DAERA statistics show that the average milk price paid to farmers during February was 30.1p/l, up 0.8p/l on the previous month.
Production stood at 202.95m litres, a record for this particular month. Production during the first two months of 2021 is up 2% on 2020 levels.
