Aurivo Co-op decided this Friday to leave its base milk price unchanged for May supplies at 29c/l excluding VAT.

"Markets continue to be supply driven, with modest demand growth evident," Aurivo's board said in a statement.

"Butter markets in particular are weaker as stocks replenish."

So far this month in the Republic, Lakeland, Glanbia and Kerry Group also held their May milk prices.

The IFA has expressed disappointment in the lack of price increases, despite a rise in Ornua's purchase price index (PPI) last month.
