The Ornua purchase price index (PPI) for November increased to 104.3 percentage points from 104.1 in October.

When adjusted for the Ornua value payment and accounting for a 7c/l assumed processing cost, it puts the October equivalent milk price at 31.4 c/l, excluding VAT (33.1c/l including VAT).

This week, average dairy prices rose by 4.3% at the Global Dairy Trade auction, with prices up across all commodities.

Butter prices were up 3.8% to an average price of €3,301/t, while the lactose price was up by 13.5% to €831/t.

Skimmed milk powder rose by 3.6% to €2,393/t and whole milk powder was up by 5% to €2,635/t.
