Bord Bia announce opening of fellowship programmes
On Tuesday this week, Bord Bia and the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School announced the start of their search for 30 professionals to represent the Irish food industry abroad.
The successful applicants will take part in two scholarship programmes that combine academic learning with a foreign industry placement. Bord Bia has said the programmes have the potential to deliver €20 million worth of sales for Irish food companies in three years.
The cooperative programme between Smurfit and Bord Bia is now in its 7th year and to date more than 150 professionals have participated.
Successful candidates work towards a Masters qualification while completing over 600 business projects on behalf of Irish food companies in 13 countries around the world.
