A call has been made for more beef farmer representation on the board of ICBF.
A meeting of the Irish Family Farm Rights Group (IFRG) heard that there is currently only one member, pedigree breeder Martin Ryan, representing the view of all beef breeds in the ICBF.
The meeting in Tullamore heard criticism from farmers and beef breed societies that there is too much dairy influence on the board and that ICBF was pursuing a dairy agenda.
