Carbery has held its milk price for March at 31.8c/l excluding VAT for standard constituents of milk. This has been replicated across the four Carbery co-ops; Barryroe, Bandon, Lisavaird and Drinagh.

In total, four out of six co-ops have decided to hold milk prices for the month of March.

Arrabawn and others cut

Arrabawn has cut their milk price by 0.75c/l to a base price of 29.12c/l.

Price cuts by Glanbia and Lakeland ahead of peak milk volumes have not been received well on the ground by farmers. Glanbia is paying its member milk suppliers a price of 28.9c/l excluding VAT, while Lakeland is paying 29.94c/l excluding VAT.
