An adult education evening course on horse racing will take place this September. The autumn ‘Horses for Courses’ is in association with The Irish Field. This six-week evening course runs for one evening each week from Monday 23 September to Tuesday 29 October 2019 at the Talbot Hotel, Stillorgan, Dublin, (7.30pm-9.30pm).
Participants will learn about breeders, trainers, owners, jockeys, racegoers, betting, race course management, racing media, sponsorship and promotion.
Lecturers include Brian Kavanagh (CEO, Horse Racing Ireland), Denis Egan (CEO, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board), Keith Rowe (director R.A.C.E.), Charles O’Neill (CEO, Irish Thoroughbred Marketing), Pat Keogh (manager, Curragh Racecourse), Donn McClean (betting expert and racing journalist) as well as well-known jockeys and trainers.
