The majority of processors have held their milk price for June. This week, Aurivo, Arrabawn, Carbery and Dairygold all revealed they are holding the price they paid out in May for June. Kerry, Lakeland, LacPatrick and Glanbia also reported that they are holding their price. The average price paid out in May was €3.19 per kilo milk solids (22.7c/litre excl VAT). The range was from Aurivo paying 20.8 c/l at the bottom to Boherbue paying 24 c/l at the top.
Meanwhile, the latest Global Dairy Trade auction took place this week on Tuesday. The average price ($2,336/t) was unchanged from the previous event on 5 July, when it dropped by 0.4%. Significantly, whole milk powder lifted 1.9% to $2,079/t.
