Talks are ongoing between Carbery Group and North Cork Creameries on a new commercial-only arrangement between the two dairy businesses.

As previously reported, an agreement was reached between Carbery and North Cork on processing for 2026, but the Irish Farmers Journal understands that this is now being updated to include more commercial elements.

On Wednesday, a spokesperson for Carbery ruled out any talk of a merger or acquisition at this stage, saying any talks were purely of a commercial nature and talks of mergers or acquisitions were off the table.
