LacPatrick was the latest major processor to set its milk price this Tuesday afternoon, holding its base price at 28.7c/l for May supplies in the Republic but stopping the 1.75c/l support payment introduced in April.

In Northern Ireland, LacPatrick has decided to increase its base price by 1p/l to 26p/l. However, it has stopped a 1.5p/l support payment there too, resulting in a net drop of 0.5p/l compared with April.

Dairygold

Earlier on Tuesday, the board of Dairygold co-op held the farmer price for May at 30.36c/l excluding VAT. To do this they cut the fodder relief payment which was 1c/l in April and increased the base by the same amount. The 30.36c/l includes the quality bonus of 0.5c/l.

Carbery Group have cut the support payment by 1c/l, meaning suppliers will receive a base price of 31.9c/l excluding VAT. This includes a 1c/l support payment.

Drinagh Co-Op, Lisavaird and Barryroe suppliers will receive a cut of 1c/l down to 32.58c/l excluding VAT.

Arrabawn suppliers will receive 1c/l less than last month with the dropping of the support payment. The base price for May milk supply with farmers receiving 29.46c/l excluding VAT.
