Eleven bullocks have been reported stolen from a farm on the Louth/Meath border. The raid took place on Monday morning in the Drumconrath area of Meath. The cattle were being held in a field along a quiet road. It is understood that a medium-sized truck backed on to the road in the early hours of Monday. Gardaí in Navan and Nobber are investigating.
Elsewhere, a Cavan farmer who had 10 cattle stolen two weeks ago has had the animals recovered. The Ballyconnell farmer is understand to have known the person who stole the cattle and confronted him to have the heifers returned.
