First summer show of year cancelled due to poor weather

After months of preparation, spectators were all set to take to the show ring this coming Sunday 5 May for the first show of the year in Newmarket-On-Fergus, Co Clare.
Due to "very wet and unsafe weather conditions", the show committee announced on Thursday that it would be postponing until a later date.
All roads now lead to the Kingdom County Fair in Tralee on Sunday 12 May for the first show.
