Connolly Meats in Co Monaghan took on 14 employees in newly created positions over the past two years. The roles filled included management positions and operative roles. The company expects to take on five people in newly-created positions in sales in 2016.
Templetuohy Foods filled five positions this year. Three of those were newly created positions in the production and distribution area of the business, while two drivers were also replaced. The company is creating six new positions next year in the area of production and distribution.
Callan Bacon says it has invested heavily to grow its sales internationally. The company took on 10 people this year.

The roles included a group R&D and two graduate NPD coordinators plus a strengthening of the sales team with extra people in the UK, Germany and Netherlands. Callan Bacon has also added resources in production to support the company’s strategic drive.
