Earlier this year, JCB unveiled their Series III range, which comprises four models. All of them come with increased load capacities in comparison to their predecessors. ECI is set to display the 532-70 model at this year’s Ploughing.
The Loadall 532-70 Agri Pro has a 7m lift height and a maximum lift capacity of 3,200kg. The telehandler is powered by a 4.8l JCB EcoMax engine, capable of churning out 145hp.
The machine is equipped with JCB’s DualTech VT 2-in-1 transmission. This two-in-one technology uses both hydrostatic and powershift elements. Any task that uses speeds of under 19km/h activates the hydrostatic drive, while faster applications up to 40km/h automatically switch over to powershift drive.
This DualTech VT transmission uses Fleximode, which provides independent engine speed and ground speed control via paddle switches mounted on the end of the armrest, allowing for fingertip operation. The Agri Pro specification offers ECO mode, which allows the machine to use less engine revs where full power is not needed.
The Loadall comes with a redesigned one-piece, fully welded chassis which has increased strength thanks to its thicker side plates. The telehandler is equipped with a twin-line braking system and EBS (electronic braking system) plug as standard. It also features hydraulic auxiliary venting, which can be activated from both inside and outside the cab. It relieves the auxiliary oil pressure, making attachment changeover easier.
The biggest change to the new Loadall is the new CommandPlus cab. After sticking with the same cab design for over a decade, JCB has finally increased the cabin size, improved visibility and reduced cabin noise. The range comes with four different levels of specification – AGRI, AGRI Plus, AGRI Super and AGRI Pro.
