Earlier this year, the Irish Farmers Journal brought you the news that Manitou had announced that all Mustang skid-steer loaders sold from spring 2019 will be now rebranded in the Manitou colours for its European market.

Mustang has been building skid-steers since 1965 and continued to do so right up until the company was purchased by Gehl. Gehl was then later purchased by Manitou in 2008.

For now, the only difference between the Gehl skid-steer and the Manitou machines will be the colour scheme. The model numbers will be the same and they will remain mechanically unchanged. In total, across the wheeled and tracked skid-steers range, Manitou will be offering 16 different models.

Manitou will also be bringing its new MLA range of articulated loaders. The new range comprises eight models. Manitou has explained that the range has been tailored to agricultural handling needs.

The smaller end of the range is powered by Yanmar engines while the larger end range is powered by Deutz engines. The range starts off at 24hp and ranges up to143hp, while the tipping load varies from 875kg up to 5t. The range has a lifting height from 2.5m up to 5.20m. Manitou will be showcasing three models from the range at the Ploughing including the MLA T-533, MLA T-516 and the MLA-3.
