Sweden

Lowest grain harvest forecasted since 1992

Sweden’s total harvest for this season has been forecast at 4.2m tonnes – down from 6.5m tonnes last year and 30% below the five-year average. If realised, it would be Sweden’s lowest harvest since 1992. The poor harvest is due to fewer acres planted in winter wheat and low yields.
