9 July: Country-singing sensation Nathan Carter and his band bring the fantastic Summer Spectacular show to The Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim, Co Meath, this Sunday. It’s been a whirlwind few years for Nathan, who has brought a whole new generation of fans of all ages to country music in Ireland. Earlier this year, Nathan released his new album Stayin’ Up All Night. Nathan will be supported on the night by this brother Jake Carter, who is also making waves on the country-music scene. Smash Hits ‘90s

7 July: Smash Hits play The Fence in Mullingar on Friday. Smash Hits is a unique tribute to the golden era of early 1990s dance, pop and RnB. This Dublin six-piece performs the best of classic 1990s tracks from acclaimed artists such as Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, Take That, Spice Girls, Haddaway, Prodigy and Snap, among others. Fully decked out in 1990s outfits and possessing an energetic set overflowing with chart hits, they are a throwback to a feel-good time of old-school nightclub DJs, all-night raves and packed-out dancefloors. Funny Girl

11 – 15 July: Following critically acclaimed and record-breaking sold-out runs at the Menier Chocolate Factory and Savoy Theatre, Sheridan Smith will reprise her highly praised performance of Fanny Brice in Funny Girl at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre. Funny Girl brought global fame to Barbra Streisand 50 years ago and boasts some of the most iconic songs in film and theatre history, including People and Don’t Rain on My Parade. This iconic and laugh-out-loud musical tells the story of Fanny Brice, whose vocal talents and comedic ability see her rise from Brooklyn music hall singer to Broadway star. Park Fest 2017

9 July: Bring a picnic blanket and prepare for an incredible day out at Park Fest 2017, Peace Park, Co Sligo. The festival brings you everything from music, theatre and circus to arts, crafts and delicious food. This year’s Park Fest includes aerial performances by The Barren Carousel and Acro Aer Sligo; music by Tenekee Station, Amy O’Hara, Emmzi and Lonj-E, Mirenda Rosenberg, Tiernan Courell and friends. Spider-Man: Homecoming

7 July: Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker returns home to live with his Aunt May. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine, distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighbourhood superhero. Featuring Hollywood A-lister Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man and Tom Holland as Spider-Man, this is the one of the most anticipated blockbusters of the summer.
