Over €200m has been paid out to date from last year under the Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) scheme, to over 94,000 farmers.
A county-by-county breakdown of the figures by the IFA has revealed how much the ANC is worth to each county.
The county most dependent on the scheme is Co Galway, with the scheme worth €24.15m to the county. It is followed by Mayo, where the scheme is worth €23m.
Donegal and Kerry, at €18.23m and €17.20m, are the next counties most reliant on the scheme.
Meanwhile, the counties with the lowest dependence on the scheme are Dublin, at €270,000, and Kildare, at €900,000.
IFA Rural Development chair, Joe Brady said the ANC scheme provides significant and vital support to low-income farmers and supports farming activity in difficult marginal areas of the country.
He pointed out that, following the €25m increase in funding secured by IFA, the scheme will this year be worth €227m to 95,000 farmers.
He said it is welcome that the increased rates arising from the additional €25m allocation for 2018 will benefit all farmers and he said this funding increase must mark the start of the restoration of overall funding to its pre-2009 level of €250m.

Earlier this week, it was announced that the Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed has decided to target more than half of the additional funding towards smaller hill farms.
Changes in payment rates for this year are as follows:
On mountain-type land: the payment for the first 10ha increases to €135/ha from €109.72/ha previously. The next 24ha will attract €112, up from €95.99 previously. This means the maximum payment for a hill farmer with 34ha or more of eligible land is now €4,038.On more severely handicapped lowland: the rate is also €104/ha, increasing from €95.99/ha. The maximum payment for 30ha in this category is now €3,120.Less severely handicapped land: will receive a payment of €88.25, up from €82.27/ha last year.
