IAM Agricultural Machinery Ltd, the Irish importer of brands such as Bomford, Hardi and Strautmann, is set for a return to the FTMTA show. The distributor is set to focus on several new machines in particular such as the new Bomford Turner Hawk 7.0P T hedge cutter and the new Strautmann TS 140 manure spreader.

With increased power, Power Plus boosts the previous rating of the machine from 65hp to 72hp.

Bomford

The Turner Hawk 7.0P T Power Plus hedge cutter is available as three-point linkage mounted with Bomford’s new four-point linkage stabiliser bracket. This bracket connects the tractor hitch to the chassis of the machine, adding torsional stability, and can be retrofitted to older machines.

With increased power, Power Plus boosts the previous rating of the machine from 65hp to 72hp. The advanced ICS controls have been upgraded to the new ICS4, which now features the control choice on the Power Plus model, and includes a fully proportional control joystick, programmable hydraulic ram cylinder speeds plus driver aid functions like grease and oil change reminders signalled to the operator via an LCD screen display.

Another standard feature with the ICS controls is an oil cooler, while further standard features include electronic rotor reverse and electronic head and arm float.

It has a maximum loading capacity of 14m3, while up to 710/70 R42 tyres can be fitted.

Strautmann

At the last Agritechnica, Strautmann announced the expansion of its range of manure spreaders, with the new TS 140 designed for precise spreading within a compact design.

The TS series features tapered side panels with fully welded side posts and is fitted with 16mm thick round steel chains with a breaking load of 28t. It has a maximum loading capacity of 14m3, while up to 710/70 R42 tyres can be fitted.

At the heart of the TS range is the new wide-angle spreading unit with two beaters arranged horizontally in combination with two spreading discs.

With a diameter of 620mm, 12mm thick milling tines and 920mm large spreading discs, the spreading unit distributes material over a 24m width. All wearing parts of the spreading unit are made of Hardox and are reversable to increase service life.

The spreading beaters are powered via a cardan drive with large-sized gearboxes, while the power train is protected via a cam-type cut-out clutch.
