Hennessy Auctioneers finished up 2020 with yet another successful online machinery auction. The sale took place in the usual location, the old mart in Portlaoise, on Saturday 19 December at 11am.

In total, there was a 90% clearance of the 378 lots booked. Interest remained strong, with 466 registered online bidders logging on to the sale. As usual, there was a good variety of well-minded tractors and implements sold on the day.

There was no VAT on prices quoted unless otherwise stated.

Commission was charged at the usual rate of 5% plus VAT (21%) on all lots, with a maximum fee of €1,000 plus VAT.

The first auction of 2021 is scheduled to take place on Saturday 23 January and will be entirely online once again due to COVID-19 restrictions.
