Met Éireann has issued a status yellow gale warning for today along all Irish coastal waters and on the Irish Sea.

Outbreaks of rain will continue to occur across the south of the country but most places will be dry for long periods. Highest temperatures of 7°C to 10°C and feeling cold in the wind.

There will be outbreaks of rain in the south tonight, but will stay mainly dry elsewhere.

It will be cold still in the north with lows of 2°C to 5°C, but milder further south with lows between 5°C and 8°C. It will stay quite breezy with moderate to fresh southeast winds.
