Good morning. In the news today: Met Éireann puts in place weather warnings, European feed manufacturers warn of the risk a Brexit scenario poses for Ireland and beef prices still struggle in France.
Today will be very windy with strong to gale-force southwest winds and severe gusts, according to Met Éireann. It will be stormy in the west and northwest with winds strongest in the late afternoon and evening. It will be dull at first with rain or drizzle before brightening up later this morning with sunny spells and showers. It will become cold with afternoon temperatures of 5°C to 9°C.
The windy weather will continue early tonight and it will be stormy near northwest and north coasts. Winds will gradually ease overnight. Scattered showers will continue and will become heavier and more prolonged in the northwest towards morning. Lowest temperatures will be in the range of 3°C to 4°C.
