The upcoming AgriSIMA 2026 agricultural machinery show, which was scheduled to take place from 22 to 25 February 2026 in Paris, has been officially cancelled. According to show organisers, the lack of manufacturer support undermined the economic viability of the event.

“The uncertainties encountered in our developments in North America, the blockage of our activities in Eastern Europe, the current political instability in France, and the slowdown in domestic investments have led us to withdraw from participating in the 2026 edition of AgriSIMA,” were the reasons quoted from several major agri-equipment manufacturers, according to show organisers in a statement.

The crowded show calendar and proximity to other major exhibitions, in particular the upcoming Agritechnica event in Germany, and the current downturn in many European agricultural machinery markets, hasn’t encouraged exhibitors to step forward.

“Without the participation of all stakeholders and given the current unfavorable economic context, the 2026 edition would not have fulfilled its promise. Therefore, for the future of the exhibition, we have decided to postpone the first edition to a later date. We must act responsibly and take into account the constraints currently affecting the economic stakeholders of the agricultural sector. We will navigate this challenging period together with them”, event organisers said.

Shareholders of AgriVitiEvents, organiser of AgriSIMA, are now considering postponing the next event until February 2027 or possibly even 2028, as they reassess the show model and look for a stronger commitment from manufacturers.

Show history

For many years, the SIMA show in Paris has been a leading international agricultural machinery exhibition. It was France’s go-to machinery exhibition, and Europe’s second largest show after Agritechnica. The last Sima show took place in November 2022, after the show was postponed from its original 2021 date due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

After a turbulent few years around the COVID-19 and failure to return to its biennial position within the European show calendar, the 2024 event was cancelled. Organisers AXEMA then decided to reinvent the exhibition for 2026. A new company, AgriVitiEvents was created with AXEMA to organise the event, which was then renamed AgriSIMA.

The crowded show calendar and proximity to other major exhibitions, in particular the upcoming Agritechnica event in Germany, and the current downturn in many European agricultural machinery markets hasn’t encouraged exhibitors to commit to the event.
