Dear Sir: I read that there were 700 people at the CAP meeting in Cork. I was not one of them.

I said to Michael O’Callaghan of the UFA at the start of CAP that what should have been done was sign the form and send it back empty. That way it would act as a petition.

I would urge Irish farmers to wake up. Look at what you are being dragged into.

The Germans may have a passion for rules and regulations, but that should not mean we have to follow suit.

There have been six generations of my family farming at Sluggera, but I think I will be the last.

Not purely for economic reasons, but because Angela Merkel has taken the pleasure out of farming.
