The 28 queens, who were nominated by their Macra branch, will be judged on their personality, rural knowledge, public speaking abilities and style. The weekend boasts a great line-up of entertainment, with music by Declan Nerney on Friday night, Transmitter on Saturday night and a gala banquet on Sunday. The judging panel consists of the reigning FBD Queen of the Land Geraldine Barrett, FBD representative Alan Geraghty, former Macra Na Feirme president Alan Jagoe and guest judge, 1989 Queen of the Land winner Anna Marie McHugh.
