LAUGH out loud at the Bray Comedy Festival from 12-16 February in the Harbour Bar, Bray, Co Wicklow. There will be a host of comedians performing including Andrew Maxwell, Jason Byrne, Ed Sammon, Paul Currie and Enya Martin, to name but a few. Also on offer will be a roast battle, which isn’t the battle of the Sunday dinners, but rather a stand off between two comedians firing off their best insulting comedy jokes. DJ Kaytee and the Bingo Loco Hype Crew will bring you the Bingo Loco Rave Round. For tickets and more information see www.braycomedyfest.ie.

GRAB the popcorn and attend the inaugural Mullingar International Film Festival on 20 February. The festival will feature numerous award-winning short films by well-regarded Irish and International filmmakers, some of which will be premiering in Ireland at the event. It will also feature the local premiere of I Created You by Mullingar filmmaker Noel McIntyre. This film profiles the work of renowned woodcarver Richie Clark. The event will raise funds for Temporary Emergency Accommodation Mullingar (TEAM), who deliver support services for homeless women and children in the midlands. Tickets cost €20 and are available locally and via Eventbrite.
