A 41.5ac grassland farm with good road frontage and cattle handling facilities has come on the market in Co Meath. The guide price is €12,000 per acre.

The farm is at Phepotstown, outside Kilcock and it will be sold in an online auction on Friday 25 June. It is being sold by Sherry Fitzgerald Brady O’Flaherty, in association with agricultural property consultant Sean Doyle.

The holding is located between Kilcock and Dunshaughlin on the R125. It is 6km north of Kilcock and 9km from Maynooth, both of which are expanding towns. Summerhill and Dunboyne are a short drive away.

The 41.5ac is laid out in one large field – one of the biggest in the general area. The farm has frontage on two roads, namely the R125 and the L62151, which branches off it. The total road frontage is over 600m.

The modern cattle handling facilities are located at the junction of the two roads in a corner of the field.

The fields are in clean permanent pasture. The ground is level and fertile with no waste and the boundaries are secure.

The farm will be offered at action in three lots as follows:

  • Lot 1 is 19.7ac with dual road frontage and cattle handling facilities.
  • Lot 2 is 21.7ac with frontage on the local Rath road.
  • Lot 3 is the entire of 41.4ac.
  • “Co Meath has some of finest land in the country and this is definitely one of the finest fields of land in the county,” said auctioneer Eamon O’Flaherty of Sherry FitzGerald Brady O’Flaherty. “It has already has attracted significant interest since it went on the market.”
