At the event, Kverneland unveiled a new Densus series of variable chamber round balers. There are two models in total: Densus 7060 and Densus 7090, each capable of respective bale sizes up to 1.65m and 1.85m. There are three in-feed options available, which include the basic EasyFeed, PowerFeed plain rotor and the ChopFeed 15 knife-chopping unit.
Models feature a 520mm diameter rotor, 2.3m wide pickup and a new hydraulic system to improve performance. Other features include an integrated gearbox, greaseable external bearing and large rollers. An automatic greaser and work lights are available as optional extras.
Models are available with the proven PowerBind net system, which Kverneland claims has the markets lowest positioned net roll. A new vertical roll storage system simplifies handling.
Kverneland has also further advanced its Tractor Implement Management (TIM) system to offer further capabilities.
Following on from its first TIM level, which could automate driver tasks like pausing for binding and bale discharge, cutting the baling cycle from 10 manual steps to two, TIM Pack 2.0 offers further control.
TIM Pack 2.0 is fitted with Auto Feed Control, by means of a hydraulic pivoting drawbar which automatically shifts the baler from left to right based on swath indicators. In theory, this ensures well shaped bales and keeps tractor wheels off the crop.
Auto Blockage Control is another upgrade, which monitors crop flow and reacts faster than a human to stop the tractor and PTO during blockage. The series also supports Kverneland Sync and FarmCenter cloud connectivity for fleet management.
