New generation Aerosem M one-pass from Pöttinger

Pöttinger has introduced a new generation of its proven Aerosem M pneumatic seed drill.

The new model offers a choice between two hopper systems: either a standard single hopper with or without Precision Combi Seeding (PCS) for the sowing of maize crops, or a double pressurised hopper divided in a 60:40 ratio and with two metering units.

This allows simultaneous sowing of seeds of different sizes, fertiliser granules, or under sowing into the same seed row. The double hopper has a capacity of 2,000l and can handle seed rates of up to 520kg/ha.

The standard hopper holds 1,250l of seed and can be expanded by a further 600l if required.

The PCS version has separator elements installed and offers a 450l seed capacity and 800l for fertiliser which too can be extended to 650l and 1,200l, respectively.

Regardless of the hopper configuration, the outlets of the Aerosem M are controlled independently of each other using the brands intelligent distribution system (IDS).

This optional system opens up a wide range of possibilities for controlling the coulter pipes and tramlines.

Modified double disc coulter

The Dual Disc coulters can achieve a pressure of up to 60kg and have been modified for the better handling of maize seeds.
