A relatively new name in the Irish grass machinery market, SaMASZ, has opened a new factory in Zabludów, Poland.
Both agricultural and municipal machinery including mowers, tedders and rakes are produced at the plant, of which 64% is exported, with the balance sold in Poland. The €25m investment covers an area of 32ac,10 of which is occupied with production and office space. There is also a dedicated 16ac test field. The company has a turnover of €36m.
The factory will employ 1,300 people across all departments. According to SaMASZ, the new factory not only means more production, R&D and office space, but more production technology including a fully automated painting line. The line uses chemical surface preparation and an automatic powder paint cabin. It is envisaged the investment will allow the company to double or even triple the production.
